Whew! Sorry for the wait between post my BMSSers (Blue Moon Sub Stackers)! Summer stuff (work, vacations, etc.) and getting TWO issues of Diversions out (on sale right this minute at DriveThruComics) took me a li’l longer that I thought! Enough excuses—stuff!
While Diversions is our main title, we like to do collections called “Special Editions” in which we gather a book-full of stories about one character or department. Right now, we’re working on a Kragor the Savage Special Edition. Before we put it out, though, all the b&w stories are being colorized. Here’s a look at the splash page of the very first Kragor story ever published—now live and in color!
Lloyd took a bit of inspiration from the old 1950s Black Knight comics put out by pre-Marvel Atlas. Artist Joe Maneely did the type of linework for the background (and some foreground) characters as JP Dupras (Louis Sollune) did here, so he thought a similar color scheme might be cool. We like it. Do you?
And for that super-special, super-secret for BMSSers only piece of art…check out these roughs for a future sci-fi-centric Vault of Shadows story with art by JW Erwin!
Now, like we said, these are roughs, so there’ll be a lot of changes between these and the published work, but don’tcha just get chills (the good kind) knowing that JW is lending his awesome artistry to a story like this? And dig his version of Mr. EEEE!
That’s all for now. Thanks for your patience and patronage! Pax!
As I mentioned when you teased these issues before: I will now expect two “Diversions” to come out right before all of my birthdays going forward! That color Kragor page looks phenomenal, and the Preview art is most intriguing!
